Today is Shibuya day! Alright, I woke up a bit later today (9h), I needed some rest. My full body is so sore from all the walking, yes I know what you think, that is nothing. Yup, but I’m not used to walking that much every day. Something needs to be mentioned for this day, it was raining cats and dogs, however I decided to go to visit the Imperial Palace. I was only able to do the garden because the visit for the day for the inside was fully booked.
They only have it twice a day (10am and 1:30am). The garden is nice, and you have a point of view on the city.
Shibuya
I finished visiting the garden completely soaked. So now let’s go to the famous Shibuya Scramble Square. Once I arrived there, I was looking for a place to eat sushi. I found one Sushiro, with a conveyor, and ordered with the tablet. It was fun and good. I had sushi with eel, squid, scallop, tuna, and fried octopus. I love squid, but it was too chewy there. The food was fresh and good to try lots of different things for not much. I had 10 different plates of sushi for 15 euros.
After having my belly full, I went to the Scramble Square. It is FREAKING huge and insane to see that many people cross at the same time, nevertheless it is working fine!
I walked around Shibuya, and went to the MEGA store. It is mega, indeed. On 7 floors, you have everything from beauty products to food, passing by electronics and sex toys. It was fun to see all of that. It is another world for foreigners, to be honest.
After I reached CAT MOCHA Café, a cat coffee place, where you can pay per 10 min, and you have a drink included with the price. I had to wait a bit 20 min before any spot was free. Once inside, all the cats were on their spot sleeping, you can also buy some candy for them, and they will come easier to you. I am not sure if I liked it.
I am quite confused about this experience. It is nice to people, but not so sure for the cats.
They were either super sleepy, angry, or weird. They get a lot of solicitation, which is not the best for a cat. They like their own space and freedom… Not sure what to think about this experience. This was the last stop before going back to the hotel and eating dinner from 7-Eleven.
